Jenna Kruse, a Senior Vice President at Putnam Partners, has dedicated her career to advancing democratic values and helping elect Democratic candidates from local to national office. She has spent over ten years managing strategic research and communications on campaigns, at party committees, and with partner organizations to ensure the opposition is held accountable while the candidate’s message breaks through.
Most recently, Jenna served as the Director of Rapid Response for Research and Communications at Accountable.US -- a nonpartisan government watchdog organization that brings to light the misconduct of government officials and influence of special interests. She utilized public records and other reporting to hold the Trump administration accountable and expose gross misuse of taxpayer dollars.
In 2020, Jenna served as Research Director on Cory Booker’s presidential primary campaign. She managed the campaign’s vetting operation and coordinated with the communications, political, finance, and field teams on ways to best reflect the senator’s exemplary record.
Jenna also previously served as the Vice President of Research at EMILY’s List where she managed a team of eight that examined candidate records from across the country and tracked the legislative assaults on reproductive health and women’s rights coming from a Republican-led Congress and conservative legislatures across the country. She was proud to be part of the 2018 leadership team at EMILY’s List that helped to elect a then-record number of women to office and deliver the House majority to Democrats.
Jenna previously served three election cycles at the DCCC in various roles on the coordinated and independent expenditure teams. She has worked hand-in-hand with over 50 campaigns in navigating both self- and opposition research and producing actionable products that led to many November successes. Jenna also served as Research Director for Senator Brian Schatz’s successful primary race in Hawai'i where she helped overcome the establishment pick in an upset primary election by utilizing a paid media program that was able to reach voters where and when it mattered.
Jenna is a native of Central Illinois and an alumna of Miami University (Ohio), where she was a member of the Track and Cross Country teams and earned degrees in Mass Communication and Political Science. When not working to elect Democrats, Jenna enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with her partner and orange tabby cat.
