Tucker Middleton

Tucker, an Associate at Putnam Partners, is an experienced political strategist and has worked on campaigns at the local, state and national levels. As an on-the-ground campaign staffer specializing in strategic communications and digital media, Tucker has raised over a million dollars through email campaigns, overseen candidate debate and interview preparations and served as on-the-record spokesperson with all types of media from rural radio stations and local TV to the Associated Press and the New York Times.

In the 2014 cycle, Tucker served as communications director for Clay Aiken’s high-profile congressional campaign in North Carolina and navigated the unique challenges of running a celebrity candidate in a predominantly Republican district.

Tucker previously led record-breaking youth voter turnout efforts in the swing state of Ohio as the Obama reelection campaign’s Deputy Youth Vote Director and served as a spokesperson and messaging strategist for over 100 coalition partners, including the NAACP, the ACLU and the Human Rights Campaign, as the Deputy Communications Director for the Coalition to Protect All NC Families — the campaign to fight a constitutional ban on marriage equality in the State of North Carolina.

In addition to her experience as a campaign messaging and communications strategist, Tucker appreciates the need to bring data and research-driven approaches to a winning campaign strategy. Tucker oversaw research projects for targeted Senate, gubernatorial and congressional races across the country at the DC-based polling firm The Feldman Group and led data operations for the non-profit organization Equality NC and the 2013 Presidential Inaugural Committee’s Department of Intergovernmental Affairs.

Tucker is a proud native of Raleigh, North Carolina and graduated from East Carolina University with a B.A. in Political Science.
